hi everybloggie!
Last weekend I traveled back in time. First the setting, the Wayside Inn. Since 1716, this place has been located on Boston Post Road offering hospitality and comfort to travelers. The
Wayside Inn has a fascinating history.. check out the website if you have a minute. Some say the place is
haunted... muuaaahhh!
But I went there to check out a festival. It was the
Colonial Drum & Fife Festival. I didn't stay too long because take a listen.. constant and I mean constant drumming!
Furry nice time woo had!
ReplyDeleteMom's junior high skhhool and a Fife and Drum Khorps SO she'll be rekhalling that in her head all day!
Grrrrreat pikhs!

Very cool Norwood. I'm glad your mom is taking you on educational field trips because you have to get ready for your big book review. You know my sister, Susan, loves Thanksgiving. She dresses up like a pilgrim every year! I sure hope she feels well enough to do that this year. Love this post...your Mom did a great job...I think Aunt Dee would give her an A+!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
Sharon:)
Hey Norwood did you get that march down? Have you been able to get the sound of that drumming out of your head yet? Hup two three four, hup two three four! I bet you're still dreaming about that! You'd better go chase some frogs to get your mind in the right place.
ReplyDeletesee ya pal,
Bruce:)
Our momma wishes we had such cool things in our neck of the woods to see...sigh. But we do have some fun stuff so she says that we have to be happy with that. We DO think that you should have been able to pee on the tee-pee - what's wrong with that?
ReplyDeleteWhat fun Norwood.. Of course you would have to wear blue. We are Blueman you know..

Hey Norwood, Sudbury is beautiful, huh? hard to believe it's a toxic wasteland, a superfund site... a guy that I worked with in marlboro is the "surgeon" for the Sudbury Co.'s of Militia & Minutemen, does "door duty" at the wayside and also attends the pat's and rev's games. they shoot their black powder rifles for goals and touchdowns.
ReplyDeleteWhat were the British doing there? Horrors!
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
The British??? Who are they? and why are they here? Were here? Ok you've lost us, but sure looks like you had fun!!! Was there lots to eat?

Hiya Norwood - that was a really cool journey you took back through time. Hey, does your time machine teleport too? That would be great 'cos then you could pop round and we could play together! Thanks for your bithday wishes - we've had a great day today, we wish it could be our birthday every day! We got a really cool bandana each as one of our pressies so we're hoping to be recruited to your bandann bonanza soon! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
