hi every bloggie! You know the saying, March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb. Well this year, March has been all roars. Between rain drops and receding waters, I've seen signs of spring along the assabet river- my usual stomping grounds. The plant life and vegetation is popping up. I don't know the name of this delightful plant but I did water it some more. Mom was super excited although you can't really see it. That's woodie the woodpecker! We hear him every day but finally caught him with our own eyes! Mr. Beaver commissioned and donated his own sculptures to the river front. Usually the water level doesn't even hit this tree. That's' how much rain we've had. He is quite the craftsman but doesn't pick up after himself. Look at all the woodchips left behind. Oh we've seen painted turtles too! They love to sun tan! Hold on fella don't jump in until we snap the foto! Whew! Just in time!
Since the foliage hasn't grown in it, I get to stick my snooter into large holes or dens that are usally covered up quite well. Yoohooo anybody home? Not sure who lives there but I'll check again later. Oops that's not a den! I've never got my snooter close to that hole either. Tula please! Still working on that greeting in graduate school. Well I can practice at least right? For your sake, just be glad it's not a scratch and sniff post.
I guess with all those signs, spring must be coming- right?
PS I've only heard frog chirping love songs in my early morning walkies but no sightings just yet. Trust me, you will be the first to know!
Bet you didn't know but I have my own tv show! Here it is - the rise n shine morning show with me.. mr. norwood - Ready to get totally waken up by my action packed news! The show is broadcasting live right now. Tune in!
okay okay... now here's a clip when we were filming in squirrel alley.
Live TV is so unpredictable. Geez they should give me a break once in a while for personal needs. Okay I'll close this broadcast with a better visual. Here's the sun coming up for brief moments this Sunday morning.
Then guess what? After the show I checked my mail and look! The Houston Pittie Pack sent me an Easter Card! Not only is it super cute with their bunny ear fotos but they even added FROGS!
I love it so much! We hung it on our fridge! THANK U!
PS- mom's been downloading video iPhone apps to sample and playing around with iMovie which ultimately impacted my posting and blog visits this week. Please excuse her hours of brain farts spent trying to figure it out and the poor amateur video product. I had her post them anyways b/c we are going on 3 days without a post- inexcusable.
Yep another friday is here and time for eYewatch Friday! This time my eyes (or in the words of my favorite square Eric) my mince meat pies are on the skies. You see daylight savings changed everything around here. I have to get up earlier but not "technically" since the clocks moved forward. But the result is this... all eYes on the sky please!
tahdah.. here's the frog pond all fancy at dusk!
I get to watch the sunsets now during my after work walkies.
And I look quite fabby as a shadow- if I say so myself! No more reflector vest.
Look at that.. it makes my frog pond look stunning.
Okay so now we moved along the assabet river and ready to cross over the bridge. Teenagers usually hang out and make out up here for some reason. (I usually try to join in- hee hee- hey I'm a good kisser)
Let's take a gander over.
Oh yes.. I see why.. I'm feeling romantic now with the pink filled sky and reflection! Okay who wants to meet me on the bridge. I'll be here every day at 645pm.
It's rained so much here I grew gills and turned green. 3 days nonstop rain. Well enough! I want to remember my good ole friend mr. sunshine. And sometimes you have to go to great lengths just to see him.
See these stairs! Yeppers you can see right thru them. Eeeeesh! Very scary. But mom already went up. huh? What to do? What to do? I really debated going up but had no choice.
I looked between the steps to see if a monster was under there. Yoohoo tula?
And finally, I took the plunge and made my way up!
Oh yes... the norwood kingdom! I made it to my thrown!
My tuners could tune in sounds from everywhere.... I think I heard the melodious howls from my pals.. the thundering herd!
I surveyed the area for trespassers. Ahem must pay cookies to enter.
But look! That bright spot it does exist! Oh perfect view of mr. sunshine
Conquering my fear was so worth it! Okay you can stop bowing now. Ye Sir Norwood - over and out!
