King O' Stick

Hee hee.. I tipped toed over to the other side of Hopkinton State Park. Are you following me?  Come on! Keep up! Good thing I left paw prints for you to follow.
Of course, I had to get my stick jollies in.  I can't resist a good stick. I wish Gus, Callie and Louie were here to play stick o war!  It could be Blues against Reds!
Oh well.. for now I am reigning King of the Stick!

Isle de Norwood- Camera Critters#51

Today it is rain rain and more rain.  I will just think about all the fun I had yesterday.  I went to Hopkinton State Park. It was 68 degrees! Whoo hooo! That means only one thing. Swimming! Look how clear the water is.  The sunbeams danced around me.  I was hoping other dogs were swimming, but all of them stayed on the land. Whimps. I don't know how you could resist. The water is a bit chilly but oh so worth it.

Look an island just for me.. Think I can make it? I will call it Isle De Norwood.
Well no Isle de Norwood swim today. Nope just going after my ball.  Maybe this summer I'll swim over there w/my mom.
"umophhppheeeerrreeemmppph"  snort snort! You try talking w/a ball in your mouth.
Here, here is what I was trying to say.."here it is.. now throw it back in again please." Look my raccoon eyes make good goggles too! Go over to Camera Critters to enjoy the other animal photos!

Square Dog on the Lam?

If you follow that dog across the pond, Eric the Square Dog- you know he was a bit of a naughty boy recently. He's no longer two but had a horrible case of spring fevah resulting in a period of confinement.

Well I was on my regular walk and look what I saw parked? It was a cabbie from London!

So I looked all around.. is my Square friend in town?
Did he jail break? Is he on the lam? I looked around to see where he might be?
Here?- no offense but Eric is not your everyday humdrum square.. so I thought why not the ODD Fellows lodge. Nope. No Square.  I looked in the store next to it. He's always looking for wheelies. These are the only wheels I saw.
Looks like me pulling my mom up the trail. hee hee.. okay I'll drop it.  Still no square.
I found some money on the ground.. maybe he is here. He is a high roller. Dropped it on the run.
Wait a minute.. I know where he would be.....
Is he tasting a bit of english ale .. thirsty for a froth from the motherland? Nope no square.

Eric if your here.. we are trying to sniff u out with these bunny cookies.
You'll need them if your on the lam..

Sky Watch Friday #37- Mt Pisagh

First of all, I am so happy. It's been an awarding winning week for me.
Tula bestowed this award on me.

Thanks Monstah! Wink Wink and Smoochies to You! Oh.. opps I guess that would make us kissin' cuzins. Please don't tell anyone.
HAPPY SKY WATCH FRIDAY

Now this past weekend, I was a bit on the .. how do I say this nicely.. crazy side. Remember my Mr. Bizerko pics?  Well later that day my mom decided we needed to go hiking.  I can't believe there is a nice mountain trail only 15 minutes away. Who knew?So we headed to Mt. Pisagh in Northboro.
First you have to drive by a few apple orchards as you head up to the trail head.  Still bare- no little buds on the trees yet. NO snow but still doesn't look like spring.

I like hiking. I like running as fast as I can on the trail then wait for mom and start all over again.  But this time I was treated like a draft horse. My mom had me pull her up the steepest part of the trail.. Whatt???  You see my size. I am no Mango.  But being the good boy, I did as told.  Well confession.. I didn't have much of a choice. Note the orange string attached to me.

Once at the summit point, we had this beautiful view.  Now, the trail guide says I am suppose to be able to see Bear Hill in Waltham and the Prudential Center in Boston. Hmmmm... I think I need binoculars.  I just see trees.
And of course, I took a short break.. .after my horse duties to pose. Please ignore the finger smudge. Someone is still learning how to take a decent picture.. ahem.
Don't forget to head over to the other sky watch photos.

can't keep my eyes off of you!

A sleepy boy.. can't keep my eyes off of you!

Sunshine on my Shoulder

Remember the John Denver song- Sunshine on my Shoulder?

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

It summed up the sentiment of the day!

Come Aboard the Norwood Express- Choo Choo!

Good morning! This morning was splendid.  I took a walk along the Assabet River Rail Trail. No joggers or bikers this early so I had the trail to myself.  If you are not familiar with these type of trails ,Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is a nonprofit organization working with communities to preserve unused rail corridors by transforming them into trails, enhancing the health of America's environment, economy, neighborhoods and people. You probably have one near you.

I like walking on them b/c it feels like you are on the tracks. Come aboard the Norwood Express
Take a listen to my walk. The birds were singing to me.

I tried to sing back.. ha ha just kidding. I can't sing.
Here are some sights along the trail.  Choo Choo! All Aboard!

I hope you enjoyed the ride.  Exit to your left.

Before I leave, I want to thank Eric the Square dog for this award!

I'm back! Live in color!-Camera Critters #50

I'm back! I had lots of fun at day campalooza but it's good to be home.  My mom thought I'd be tired.. but there is one thing I didn't get to do at camp. Playing constant bitey face is not enough for a young lad like me. I need to feel the fresh air breeze against my face. I need the open fields to sprint and leap freely. I need to be unleashed.
It was peaceful crispy frosty morning. Do you see the mist and fog over the water?- ahem. I thought spring started. Stupid Massachusetts weather...19 degrees is not spring.

Then...Yep! Mr. Bizerko wanted to be unleashed. And he appeared quickly during the morning walk.  First I - I mean Mr. Bizerko ran to the right.. circling my mom. Then Mr. Bizerko ran right at her! Boo! Ha! I think I scared her.. oh she looks mad. Quick cut to the left. Quick break for a frosty drink.
From spring fevah 3-6-09
Here she captured the Mr. Bizerko explosion. Click on the picture to get the larger view. Put yourself in the middle.. I think you get the idea.

Finally a peaceful moment captured.  Don't worry- it didn't last long.
From spring fevah 3-6-09
I reminded my mom that I still wasn't as bad as that Eric Square Dog across the pond.  She thought about it agreed. No  jail time required. Check out the other camera critter photos.
