hi every bloggie!
I can't believe the weekend's over.
Oh well, at least I can tell woo what I did now.
I went to a new trail.
I heard about it from my neighborhood heeler pal hoosier.
I guess back in the 1700's people use to come here
to get lime, burn it and turn it into plaster.
The quarry is still here and they have a great trail system around it.
It's called the Bob Horton Memorial Trail.
Here I am looking over the lime walls
to see the algae pool of water. Woo are not suppose to
get too close to the edge. Momma put me on a string to
keep me safe. I can be a bit of a daredevil at times.
See it's all algae.
I don't even think froggers were in there.
And super cool boulders were everywhere.
According to the trail guide, they came from the ledges a few 100 feet north,
carried by the mile thick sheet of moving ice
during the glaciers (15,000 yrs ago).
That's a long time ago.
I thought they were pretty funballs to climb on.
okay, ready to hike with me?
Let's do this....
Yeppers... another weekend another trail.
Send it to me by Oct 22nd
