Oh well the last weekend of August

I got to do one my new favorite things

Kayak!!!

Yeppers I put on my swim outfit

I swam right over to the island.

And we paddled off to the coast.

I met up with this little dude.

He was all in my bidnezz

I had to show him how to fish.

But dude wasn't interested so we did zoomies for a bit.

Then off to the other islands.

whoa! you gots to have good balance

to be king of the world!

I'm gonna miss kayaking.

I had the bestest weekend!

I went kayaking for the furry first time.

I'm a regular seadog now.

Okay we were at Hopkinton State Park on a lake

but arrgh I loved the breeze in my furdoo.

I also got fishing fever too!

I mastered my swipmming skills.

See! I'm a dogfish

The fishies think I'm one of them.

a day off

The other day mom said her mentals were just shot. She's been working ALL summer and still hasn't taken a vacation yet. Boring.... so I talked her into taking a day off. And get this! She listened! Yahoo! Since it was mid -week we ventured off to Hopkinton State Park for an afternoon of swimming. During the summer this park is crazy busy on the weekends that we don't bother to go. Woohoo just our luck, not busy at all!

Oh yes... pawfect! I got the boat docks all to myself. I reign supreme!

You can't go to Hopkinton State Park without taking a dip!

Yeah nothing too exciting about the day but I think mom's mentals have been recharged.

Believe it or not, I have so many fotos I haven't posted yet. Think back.. yep think think think.. Well let's just say it was a time when lights decorated homes, a fat bearded fellow dropped into homes and I enjoyed many gifts. That's a while ago.. I headed to one of my favorite parks. Wahoo!

This is Hopkinton State Park- It's close to the Boston Marathon start line. That's the lake frozen over. It's pretty for winter standards.

The park is filled with many trails. Hmm which way do I go!

I decided to take the trail around the lake. Sorry- no ice skating for me. Ahem.. someone reminded me to the dangers of ice.

So I traversed quickly along the trail until I hit this spot.

Huh? It's so loud and scary. A scary rushing stream! I'd call for help but the Mango doesn't go outside the 495 force field and this is on the edge. And let's just say Tula is no service dog.

Oh good grief.. do I have to cross!

Listen to this scary monster! But I made it!

And made it to the kayak area.

Oh think about kayaking on ice. Now that would be a trip and more like the kinda fun I'd like to have.

I tried to move one out but no luck. Ah look at them, the colors reminded me of skittles. Hmm I'm getting hungry. Oh. I think I have some hot dogs with me sent from.... oh.. never mind.

This stinks! The summer is almost over! We ditched the banana boat and decided to be fish for a day!
