disturbing the peace

hi every bloggie!
Mom has been going crazy. She is so fascinated with the trees and leaves. Big deal.. they are different colors. But then as you look around.. everything looks so pretty. Here is my street.
And so we headed to a trail we haven't been to in awhile. Last time it was covered in snow?! It was Marble Hill trail in Stowe MA. Oh yes.. I remember now!
heelllo hellllllooo! No one around. Nice...While I ran around like a nut.. my blog assistant took fotos. Thankfully the trees stand still otherwise she makes me stand there. Ridiculous.
See how nicely the trees stand still for her? I think she's found a new focal point for the photos. Me I'm busy.
The trail had these fun markers along it. Piled stones.
I took a good sniff than marked the marker? Is that redundant? Mom says not required but I wanna know where I've been.
Wait.. shhh. I hear talking. I darted off. Mom could only hear my bell ching ching in the faint distance. And a thrilled scream echoed the air. "AAAGGHHH". Mom whistled and the ching ching ching became louder. I returned. What happened? Where were you? The inquisition started.
I was just trying to say hi to some teenagers on the trail. I guess they feared the wrath of my hello tackle. Oops. See my recall works fine. It's the running off part mom says we need to work on.
This rock was huge and was a great vantage view of the trails. Squirrels... look out.
Okay now while I was busy disturbing the peace.. mom took leaf photos. Take a look..
Which one is your favorite? There's even a pine cone for the leaf haters. Which leaf to you peep the best?!!! Toodles have a great day!

  2. Looks like a great hike - and disturbing teenagers is only a fair and appropriate activity in our books.

  3. Recall? What's that?

Your bandana matches the leaves... quite fitting.

    And our vote? #3.

Enjoy the color. It is so short lived.

    Love ya

  6. My favorite is #3 - Pretty!! What did those teenagers think you were...a big old grizzly bear! Do they think bears wear bells on their collars? They were just sissies! Your Mom sure took some pretty pictures Norwood. I bet it's cool there too...still in the 90's down here in florida...good thing cats don't sweat, but sharon sure does!

  25. Hi Norwood - what a fabulous walk. It's autumn here too and the leaves are turning the same browny colours - we wonder why your leaves look so much prettier than our leaves? He he he - strange eh?! Our favourite leaf is number 3 - great colour splash!

Oh, by the way, our female human says she'll take the snaps of us with our bandanas on this weekend - we can't wait to enlist to your bandana bonanza!! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

  30. Sorry to arrive so late, I was off celebratin' Columbus Day. Anyway, I think it was only right you gave the teenagers a good scare 'cuz Halloween is comin' up and they needed your help to tune up their screams, right? Yeah, I thought so.

I like leaf #2 personally. I think it would pee stain quite nicely.

I like where you get to run-I'm sure the smells are delicious-and probably the rodent poop is too! Ooops-hope your Mom doesn't see that.

    Chester ;0=)
