Whoohoo! it's finally Friday! Yeah forget hump day, this is my favorite day of the week. This week's eYewatch edition is about one of the rails to trails that I've highlighted before, it's the Assabet River Rail Trail. See there I'm on it right now.
I use it almost every weekend when I go running with mom. And this time of year it is full of color. Almost at peak color... I'll have to take more photos this weekend because it's even more colorful right now. Now that's an eYeful of leaf peeping.
See that?!- when I go running- I have to wear my string. I think mom feels I'll get lost but I won't. You know why? They marked the trail just for me! Put your eYes on these trail markers. Yep just for me! Frogs, bunnies and turtles every other step!
Okay.. more leaf peeping along the river.
Can't believe your eYes -can woos?
How about this side... okay I'll flip to my otherside too.
How about that for an eYewatch Friday!
Okay before I go, I want to mention 2 charitable fundraising events.
As you may or may not know, mom works with people with disabilities. She use to work with school aged kids in high skool who were Special Olympians. She knows first hand how important this organization is to the young adults and their families. On October 30th, she is running in the Special Olympics Trick or Trot 10k. I hope I can go, but we have to ask the race director. K9s are allowed to do the 1 mile walk so I don't see why not the run.
This is my special promotional photo- muuaah evil elmo ate me! I bet he thought I was a treat! If you'd like to help out, go to my Special Olympics donation page!
The second announcement is my Ohio pal Sagira is participating in the 2 Million Dog walk on November 7th. If you remember, in June I went to the final mile of the 2000 miles walked by Luke, Murphy and Hudson when they landed in Boston. I'm not sure I'll participate in this walk, but Sagira is participating in the Cincy location. If you liked to help cure canine cancer, go to her Sagira/Jermey's donation page or participate in a city near you.

OH the Fall colors are so beautiful and Norwood you are looking good from any side..
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope they let you do the entire 10K although you maybe quite tired by the end. Mom did her 10,000 step walk with us last weekend and we were ready about 1/2 way to head for the house. Tongues hanging and lots of panting going on...

Beautiful post, Norwood - both the photos and the causes. Oh, to be back in New England for the beautiful fall. Hope you didn't get hit too badly today with all the rain from the Nor'easter.

Hey Norwood!
ReplyDeleteWow, what great Fall path pix! You have a beautiful place to run just like me. Very pretty. My Mom works at a hospital place for people that compete in Special Olympics. It's a great cause.
Gotta say I'm with Dennis that it looks suspiciously like a stuffie is eating your head!
Great fun.
