hi every bloggie!
I'm doing all I can to get on Santa's good boy list... so last Saturday I enlisted mom in the
10K Jolly Jaunt Road Race to benefit the Special Olympics. She ended up raising $305! Wow Santa will be impressed.
Right in our city, the
Special Olympics just opened a brand spanking new facility! It was quite impressive.

Look at all the Jolly Jaunt Special Olympic Reindeers gathered before the race. I don't know but they don't look too happy about running today.
The start line...all are merry right now.
We began the race by recanting the
athletes' oath- "
"Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Since I couldn't run with mom... I was hoping she just finished. And here is Marlboro's finest... killer boots man and always a DD- Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand.
Here we go.... race day 39 degrees.. a bit chilly but the snow sleet mess held off until the afternoon. Whew...

That's mom- all smiles the first mile. Marlboro is all hills.. and I mean HILLS.

Since it was a JOLLY Jaunt I let mom wear my bell. See it attached to her shoe!?? Take a listen..
the spirit of norwood jolly jaunts too.
There was a cute furry spectator.. I should've come. And the finish line 57:07 was mom's time. And If you don't know, the Special Olympics always throws a great party. A huge breakfast buffet followed the race: sausage, eggs, bacon, bagels, fruit, etc. Everyone put on their feedbag. What huh? no doggie bag? What's up with that
Okay... I think I'll make the good boy list now that WE raised money at the Jolly Jaunt.
And now for Friday's eYewatch
Check this out.. along my trail I was teased and taunted. A goose gang was messing with me. I had my eYe on them but didn't dare mess with that group.
Ridiculous! I'm trying to be good.
