a dude about town

hi every bloggie!

I thought I'd take today to update woo all
on what's happening around town.

With fall here, I've been about town under the moonlight
on my walkies. Arooooo!

by the light of the silvery moon

I get to catch the high school football games too!
go hawks go!

I get to wait in line for the bratwurst stand
at the football games. I'd like 2 please hold the mustard.

I'm still looking for my frogger pals in the lil waterfall pond.
Not many in the river or frog pond this year.

Whoops. Like I feel like frog legs for dinner tonight.
On the menu.
I heart frogs 

New England humans LOVE halloweenie.
Lots of bean pads are decorated.
Buuaaahhh! I dare!

Buuuaaahhh don't go in!

The leaf peeper season is coming.
We have some color but not alot yet.
I got my peepers on for woo.

kapow #fall colors 

The sunset gets earlier and earlier.

Here's my last trip around Gates Pond. I use to
go w/ momma after work but now it's too dark.
There be coyotes and deer and skunks...
not a good recipe for an offleash funballs run.
Well that's what momma says.

Oh and I wanted to show you my idol.
This old man dude is from Norway.
He walkies around Gates Pond every day w/ his newfie mix.
He's known as the legend. You know him by the goggles.
He never leaves home w/ out them.

And finally, I keep running into my blue heeler pal Hoosier
See! He's the dude w/the white spot on his head.
pssst- on the right w/the blue tagballs.

chilin like villians

Here we are doing what we do best...

That's all for this week's dude about town.
happy saturday!

Never Forget 9.11.01

Today we remember.....

On this day ten years ago, I was working from home in Columbus, Ohio and had the TV on in the background. I saw the breaking news and stood there astonished. I called my co-worker who had lived in NYC to inform her. As I was talking to her the 2nd plane hit. I thought perhaps the 1st plane was an accident just like many others. I stood there in absolute disbelief. The images and news still have same impact on me today.

This past Friday, at work we honored and remembered four employees who lost their lives that day. I didn't work for the company in 2001 but many employees did and remember it vividly. There was a recent article about one of the employees, 9/11 victim Peter A. Gay honored with bench in Onset. I thought I share it.

In my town of Marlboro, the town hall posted 3000 flags in honor.
Here's a view of this wonderful tribute.

eYewatch friday & jolly jaunt

hi every bloggie!
I'm doing all I can to get on Santa's good boy list... so last Saturday I enlisted mom in the 10K Jolly Jaunt Road Race to benefit the Special Olympics. She ended up raising $305! Wow Santa will be impressed.
Right in our city, the Special Olympics just opened a brand spanking new facility! It was quite impressive.

Look at all the Jolly Jaunt Special Olympic Reindeers gathered before the race. I don't know but they don't look too happy about running today.
The start line...all are merry right now.
We began the race by recanting the athletes' oath- ""Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Since I couldn't run with mom... I was hoping she just finished.
And here is Marlboro's finest... killer boots man and always a DD- Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand.
Here we go.... race day 39 degrees.. a bit chilly but the snow sleet mess held off until the afternoon. Whew...
That's mom- all smiles the first mile. Marlboro is all hills.. and I mean HILLS.
Since it was a JOLLY Jaunt I let mom wear my bell. See it attached to her shoe!?? Take a listen.. the spirit of norwood jolly jaunts too.
There was a cute furry spectator.. I should've come. And the finish line 57:07 was mom's time. And If you don't know, the Special Olympics always throws a great party. A huge breakfast buffet followed the race: sausage, eggs, bacon, bagels, fruit, etc. Everyone put on their feedbag. What huh? no doggie bag? What's up with that

Okay... I think I'll make the good boy list now that WE raised money at the Jolly Jaunt.

And now for Friday's eYewatch
Check this out.. along my trail I was teased and taunted. A goose gang was messing with me. I had my eYe on them but didn't dare mess with that group.
Ridiculous! I'm trying to be good.
