oh boy! You won't believe what I had to do yesterday. I thought I was having fun. You know chasing things, running free, hunting small prey and minding my own business.
Well it was the last thing "minding my own business" that you know who didn't like. Mom said I was Mr. Bizerko times 10 and went into cuckoocuckoonut mode. She usually runs during her lunch hour at work but was off today. So ms. bright idea decided a focused run would be the ideal activity to cure me. Never went on a "run" before but it could be fun. We ran 4 miles along the Assabet Rails to Trail.
Here are the after run pics. Look I was worn out. My eyes can't keep open. If I do say so myself, I am a good running partner. But I was hot. Fortunately the river runs along the trail to take a cool off break.
Don't worry, there was a pay off. I went directly to Mr. Frog's pond to have a little fun and cooling off too. Then I was called a "good boy" the remainder of the day. I wasn't being good, I was just very tired... get a clue. Whatever makes her happy I guess.
Yesterday's eYewatch friday answers are:
1. Louie (the Happy Heelers)
3. Fenway
4. Tula
5. Archie (Agatha and Archie)
6. Velcro
7. Bailey of the Secret Schnoodles
8. Dexter (aka Pee Wee of Mango's Great Adventures)
Good job... those eyeballs are tricky.
Hi Norwood...looks like you had a lot fun running with your Mom...I can see that big smile on your face. On a serious note...Jesea is vet nurse in Texas where it has been VERY VERY HOT. I know it isn't that hot up where you live, but we need to get the message out for people with dogs not to overwork them in the heat. She lost 2 dogs yesterday to heat stroke just because their owners were running or playing fetch with them like normal. An animal gets hot much faster than a human & then their organs just cook & most times they can't be saved. I told Jesea she should call the news & have them issue a warning because most people just don't realize the danger. I think we need to spread this news, so when I saw your post about running, it reminded me that we need to do that. So tell all of your friends & I will tell all of my friends!
ReplyDeleteyour cat pal,

Great job on running with your mom, Norwood! I used to jog with dad when I was a whole lot younger and it was fun!
ReplyDeleteWe loved the eyewatch Friday pictures! Mom needs to write this down so we can remember to do it too!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Please can I come and live with you? I keep trying to get my mom to go jogging with me cause she says she used to run all the time when she was younger but now her knees and ankles are too weak (I think maybe she is just lazy).
ReplyDeleteAnd I completely missed the eye contest and I was in it! Man!
Plus, that big dog party was where we shop every week but we didn't go until today this week and it was all over.
Kisses,
Dexter
P.S. When that dog store opens its new facility, mom says we are signing up for "real" obedience school. Maybe we can go together.
