frogwatch fridays!

hi every bloggie!
I know you've been waiting and waiting.
It's finally Frogwatch Friday!

Geez! Every since I heard chirping
I pitched my tent box outside
and waited
and waited
to get my first real peeper sighting.

This week it happened.
peeper
See! See! See!
Ah the first one to get away this season.
1st peeper

And then I saw another one!
I was restrained this time.
I wanted to put my lips on him big time.
kissy kissy froggie
more peeper

Oh which reminds me!
Today is Save the Frog Day!

Save The Frogs Day is the world's largest day of amphibian education and conservation action. Please get involved and help save the frogs in your part of the world! There are currently 118 events planned in 20 countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Uganda, the United Kingdom and the USA!

Here's a quick video on the day's events.

You can learn cool facts there too. Like this one.

How many amphibian species are there?
There are 6,317 amphibian species, of which 5,576 are anurans (frogs and toads), 566 are caudates (newts and salamanders), and 175 are gymnophiones (caecilians).

who knew?
Ahem.. okay I gotta go pitch my tent for the night.
I don't want to miss a single peep.
Happy Save the Frog Day!
