Sky Watch Friday #35- Friday the 13th

The day started with a beautiful sunrise.
From skywatch friday
It appeared to be a normal day.  At least I thought.
I didn't look any different. Well maybe a bad hair day.
From Friday the 13th
This is where I must confess.  It's Friday the 13th and most appropriate to tell now.  I began to feel my skin crawl.. I felt a sudden urge to......... kill.  I looked around and found an incident victim.  The local high school kids left it behind.  It was perfect. Filled with air.. round and fit nicely in my jaws.
From Friday the 13th
And I thrust it in a a fit of rage.
From Friday the 13th
Suddenly I heard myself say "REDRUM REDUM"
From Friday the 13th
Must kill Must kill.  I must kill. Shake Shake Shake!
From Friday the 13th
I did it! And as any proud killer would, I carried around the carcass like a prize.
From Friday the 13th
What can I say, this week -a full moon and Friday the 13th.
I can not take full responsibility for my state of mind.
AAAAHHOoooooooohhhhhh! (that's my novice wolf call)
I blame it on the moon.

From Full Moon
Happy Friday the 13th. May the force be with you.

Don't forget to check out the other SkyWatch Friday photos. The photos are always spectacular.

Thursday Funnies

Hi There!  It's a been a long week so here's a funny for the day!

I thought a thought.
But the thought I thought wasn't the thought
I thought I thought.

Hmmm maybe I do need a psychiatrist. How about that tongue twister!  Got another good one for me to try?

Nature's toys are the best

Oh boy.. did I tell you I like sticks? The bigger the better.
From Track Star
Watch my technique.  I am an aggressive whittler- tearing off a piece. I can whittle it into a finely crafted whistle.. just kidding. Just into pieces.

Wait a minute.. need a better grip. This one is not going easy.

Got it now.. Must run with it.. My favorite thing to do is run fast close to my mom and knock her against the back of her legs with it. It elicits a wonder sound...heee heee.

Check it out..  Gus the blue man- I know you are jelly.  Anyone want to challenge me for it? I love a good game of tug of war (stick).

re: Monday's Forecast

Lately I feel like a weatherman. I should rename my blog- Norwood's 5 day forecast. Look! I opened up the newspaper to see my weather report made headlines again. Monday morning, expecting snow for the commute.  Spring sming.  Such a tease.

I guess I'll wear my snowy beard to work.. opps I mean day camp. Play time is hard work. Isn't it?

Camera Critters- Spring Fevah = Trouble

From hey-spring fevah 3-6-09
Hi there! I have great news. It was 54 degrees yesterday.  So I went to good dog 101 u class and then headed out to the park. Mr. Bizerko must be released after an hour of good behavior. My mom knows or she pays the price. Besides it was finally feeling like spring. We headed to a place we passed by many times but never stopped.  YEAH! Today was the day!

From hey-spring fevah 3-6-09
We arrived.  I scanned and held my sniffer out the window. HMMM new smells, big field, even a dog station! It was meant to be.  My mom changed her shoes and then did the unthinkable! She closed the car door and yep LOCKED THE KEYS INSIDE.  I WAS INSIDE.

She kept trying to talk to me... I was P.O.ed.  Wait I'm gonna say it. Pissed off. I can't even look at her.

So thankfully Fun Aunt Dee was home.  She was called to save the day.  She thinks the warm weather not only affected me but my mom has lost her mind too.  Is it that hard to remember your car keys?  Look my mom is happy that I was saved and released.  I just want to get to the field.

Now it's time for Fun! Of course I ran into a border collie mix and lab/sharpei/beagle mix. Hi guys! My name is Norwood.
From hey-spring fevah 3-6-09
And... there off.  Look at my brilliant speed.  I can run with the best of them.  Mr. Bizerko out -witness it for yourself.
From hey-spring fevah 3-6-09
Then I said hi to their mom.  Keisha the border collie mix was not happy with my greeting style. She kept blocking me and yapping instructions at me.  So bossy.
From hey-spring fevah 3-6-09
Well all's well that ends well.  My spring fevah episode ended in an afternoon nap hiatus.  My mom's brain lapse is a whole different story.

Sky Watch Friday #34- Nor'easter Skies

Last weekend, a Nor'easter snow storm hit the area. I think I was the only one happy to see the snow again.

There's always a calm before the storm. Here's the morning sunrise. I decided to take a peak at the sunrise's reflection over the Assabet River. I wonder if I look far enough over the edge, I can catch mine.  Oh.. stopped by some incessant yelling. No no Norwood.

Can you see it! Snowflakes! Gray snowfilled skies are all around as I romp around Gates Pond. It's a drab dreary winter day.

Oh by the way, that's not a snowy field but the iced over pond I am standing near.  Yep, the ground hog was right. It's still winter.

While walking along the pond trail, the skies were filled with trees. It is very pretty.  And, a great place for me to chase squirrels... when spring comes... if it ever comes.
I thought the wind created a beautiful cascade design over the iced over pond.  Not a good day for swimming but I of course tested it for ice skating.  (no pic of that)

True Colours- It's a Mellow Yellow Day!

The host of this meme is Blue. Each Thursday is a different color theme. Stop over to Blue's wonderful web site and join in on the fun! It's my first time.

Today's color is YELLOW. I wear yellow almost everyday!

Thanks to my trusty reflective yellow vest and lemon yellow collar.
I think yellow frames my face quite nicely!

In the fall I'm surrounded by yellow... leaves leaves everywhere.

Even my favorite lily pond is framed with yellow (orange and red) leaves! It's quite pretty in the fall.

And the best for last.. if you squeeze me, I squirt yellow. I write my name in yellow all over the place.

I do love Yellow! Really not sure if it makes me mellow though. Well I know it doesn't.
