norwood- top chef edition

hi every bloggie!

I am back and ready to catch up with my bloggie pals. Awhile back, my friend Africa asked me to post some of my favorite things. Well one of my favorite things to do is cook. Yep... moi is a top chef. Archie is not the only chef in town. Today I will be preparing for you my favorite breakfast recipe... Garlic Jammin Salmon on a bed of sliced bananas with carrot dessert.
Okay let's get started. First put the dinnerware in place. Make sure it's clean. I prefer my dishes to be fit for a king.
Next gather the ingredients. Olive oil, garlic, jammin' salmon and one banana.
Pour in the olive oil.. keeps the skin and coat healthy.
Then add 1 tsp of minced garlic. Not only yummers but keeps the bugs away. Believe it or not, I still get kisses from the ladies too.
Then open up the protein. Yep Jammin' Salmon- add 1/2 cup.

Make sure you stir it in well with the garlic. I'm getting hungary already. I wish I could make a scratch and sniff post for you.
Now it's time for the banana. We are adding a 1/2 of the banana.. sliced. Watch your paws please. No injures.. Oh you ask why add bananas.. such an odd flavor profile. Well mom says it helps keep my poopies firm. I happen to love the taste and added texture. Psst.. plus that's a more appropriate answer for a cooking show.
Mix with both paws. Don't worry.. I washed my paws off in the pond before I started cooking.
Time to wait... admire the feast and .....
Chow Down! Look I even make googlie eyes during my feasting.
An aerial view...
And every good, I should say TOP chef cleans his own dishes.
Move over Bobby Flay, Tom Collichio, and Morimoto.. there is a new chef in town!

C'est fini! Bon Appetite!

he's back! it's a frog fix

hi every bloggie!

This week I'm stuck at the kennel. Yep.... I wasn't able to go on a so called "business trip" and was left abandoned. Luckily my day camp staff is around to take care of me. Phew! It was only fair that I made a person (who will remain nameless- ahem) take me to the frog pond before my confinement. I needed one last fix... one last fix.. a week without mr. frog? I may need an IV drip of frog juice.. you can't quit cold turkey.
Off I went.. yep usual spot. But what? No ribbets ribbets..
No splishy splash of long legs flinging into the water to hide under the lily pads? Okay- must find mr. frog.. I need ahem.. I'm sweating... need my fix.
Okay new spot.. yeppers I heard a loud "EEEEE" kerplop! I think I found him.

See him See him! How silly.. he thinks he's hiding.
And quickly it became a game of the real time game of FROGGER
Now he's hiding.. so clever.
And then he tried sprinting to the side.
oh he's a fast swimmer.. look at him go.
Whoo hoo yeah baby... but he slipped away from me. Oh well that was the fix I needed. I hopefully make it through the week.
Click to get cool Animations for your MySpace profileI want to give ribbet shout outs to my bloggie pals Bruce the Cat, Paco,Milo & Maya , Baby Rocket & Hootie, Miss Khyra and all who post your frog sightings! I get all green about it. Hee hee. And I hope to hop over to all your blogs by the end of the week. It's hard to blog during my confinement.. although you can keep me company by watching me at day camp
Yesterday Brucethecat was watching and saw a big huge frog -check it out. Ridiculous. I was running for my life.

Toodles!

a special day to remember

hi every bloggie!

Today is a special day to remember in our household. You see that boy below. His name was Snoopie and he would have been 15 today. That was the special boy in mom's life. He unfortunately succumbed to congestive heart failure two years ago.

He was a beagle terrier mix. I'm a blue heeler terrier mix
He had fuzzy eyebrows. I have fuzzy eyebrows.
He wore bandanas and sweaters. I wear bandanas- not so much the sweaters.
He was a black white gray fuzzball. I'm a black white gray fuzzball. See our puppy fotos?
Hmm I'm sensing a theme here. Oh well, we would've made great brothers.. so today I'm wearing his old bandana to celebrate his birthday.
Happy Birthday Snoopie. You trained mom well.

oh H-E-double toothpicks NO!

hi every bloggies!

I can't believe this is happening to me! Do you remember this scene-stealing squirrel in the news? Apparently he's too big for Canada now and travelled south.
Yep.. he seems to be stealing all the scenes from me now.
Looks like we are best buds. I think not. Remember.. I'm always suppose to be the cutest in the photo. He doesn't even wear bandanas.
He's even taking over my sleeping nest area to pose. I thought I heard some chattering. I thought it was a dream. I guess not.
Tula didn't know it but he snuck into her shot too!
And as I looked at old photos.. he came to my Day Camp festival. Had the nerve to pose with me and my REAL friend Ozzy. You better look out.. Ozzball thinks you look delicious.
He even tried to train me during class. Dude- I'm gonna ignore that comment. Train yourself to stop stealing scenes. Go suck on a nut.
He came to the cape.. good thing I had other things on my mind than pay attention to him. And squirrels can't swim- can they?

He tried to be the front seat driver. Excuse me - That's my job.. move over you nut job.
And I didn't even realize he came to day camp with me one day. Well we did have fun out of the play set. Can't beat'em join'em- right?

eyewatch friday! #13

hi every bloggie!
Tadah! It's time for eYewatch FreYeday! Today it's more like eYe spy. I can be hard to find in the dark and you'll need your flashie spy tool.

Yep.. eYe look creepy under the full moon.

Here's an upclose shot. My eYebrows really glow in the spotlight. Wigglin' them at u ladies out there..
And what's more fun than this! Mom lights up my Harry Funballs with the flashlight and makes him a Glowball! She's entertained so easily.
But of course I eyed this ball when I ran around the field and thought it was just as fun.
And because mom can't see me in the dark too well and there are all kinds of skunks and a fox out in the morning, Mom makes me wear this bear bell. Huh? bear? bell? I thought she said it was to scare away the skunks and the fox. Why do I need a bear bell? Oh well it makes it feel like Christmas every day.

Now I must give you a complete picture of me in the morning playing with my Harry glowball. No eYes for this one, click play. (turn up the sound)
eYe can't help but be a nut no matter what time of day! Enough of this eYe spy watch friday! Toodles! or in the words of Dennis the Vizsla "okay, bye".
