Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone!

Hello It's Hug your Dog Day!
My mom says I'm her valentine. She loves when I flop my body on her like a flailing fish and then proceed to do my kicky feet maneuver in her face. Next I put my bone on her, chew it, flip it in the air and watch it fall out of reach. Then my mom gets it for me and we start all over again. That's how I know we are a good pair. Do tell, why are you and your mom/dad (PL, Pinkie or square) a good pair/pack? Were you meant to be?

Sky Watch Friday .... and the end of our walk

For the end of our walk, I am taking you to Northborough. The sky highlighted the grand ole flag nicely. All together... I pledge of allegiance to the flag. Now let's go.

As we walk from the park, we run into another farm. It's amazing that in the midst of residential neighborhoods, a farm always pops up. Well this originally was a farming community.

There is usually has a german shepherd running the perimeter. Fortunately not today.
It was a good time to sit and watch the horses. I don't think they saw me... well they probably knew I was there.

I looked up and saw a bird's nest.. but empty. It looked like a good picture for a puzzle. My mom likes to do puzzles. And the final shot of the farm. It was a glorious sky watch day.

Thanks for coming with me! I hope you had fun! Opps you forgot the one last click and treat.. I am sitting nicely. I am participating in Skywatch Friday!

Walkabout with Me!

It's me again. Hey our walk is not done.

Today we will walk thru Westborough.
Remember, I am still in training. Click and treat me please.
See my lips are ready.

I like walking the streets of Westborough. It has many historic traditional New England homes and churches.  The architecture is real interesting and unique to this area.

These homes are registered back to the 1700s.  I couldn't take too many pictures b/c people were looking funny at us while taking photos of their homes. I just smiled and looked cute to distract them. I hope you enjoyed the historic home walkabout in the downtown Westborough. Now it's time to load up the treat bag and meet me tomorrow for the rest of our walk.  Hmmm my lil pedometer registers 2 miles. One more to go.

Come on! Let's go for a walk!

Hello Everyone!  I just finished killing my favorite stuff animal.. see I have some fuzz hanging from my lips. Do I look like a wire fox terrier?  I thought you would like to come for a walk with me in my neighborhood.  I live about 45-50 minutes west of Boston off the Mass Pike.  I am in the "boroughs". NYC is not the only place with boroughs.  Also known as the Metro West, Marlborough is the center city surrounded by Northborough, Southborough and Westborough. Today we will go from Marlborough to Northborough.

Here is the beautiful bridge we cross when going to Northborough.
In the fall you can see the colored leaves reflecting in the water.

The next pictures are from the Hillside School, a private middle school for boys. They have a nice farm with a bull and two cattle, lamas, sheep and chickens. The boys have to take care of the animals as part of their responsibilities.  Kids with chores is a good thing.

I've never been real close to livestock. Mom wouldn't let me too close.
She gets a bit nervous around big animals. I told her I am part herding dog.. I'm suppose to be around livestock.

But they kept peaking at me thru the fence.  Cute? I think I'm cuter.

I sure didn't want to mess with this guy.

Join me tomorrow! I'll take you thru more of the neighborhoods-places I like to walk.  I hope I'm not walking to fast for you. Oh yeah! You are suppose to click and treat me along the way when I walk nicely.  I prefer chicken and beef tripe. :)

THE LEGEND OF NO BLINK NORWOOD

YEARS AGO, THE STREETS WE WALK NOW WERE LIKE THE WILD WEST.
NO BLINK WAS KNOWN FOR HIS HARD STARE AND QUICK DRAW.
THE LADIES IN TOWN RELIED ON HIM FOR SAFETY.

ALTHOUGH A SMALL TOWN, TROUBLE ALWAYS CAME CALLING!

NO BLINK KNEW ALRIGHT..
HE COULD SMELL CHICKEN ON HER LIPS A MILE AWAY!
IT HAD TO BE HIS LONG LOST COUSIN.
SHE CAME FROM THE ROUGH STREETS OF BROOKLYN.

NO ONE SAW THE HENS OR TULA AGAIN.  WORD HAS IT SHE ATE THOSE HENS. ENJOYED IT AND RAN OFF IN THE SUNSET WITH A ROWDY GALLOP!
NO BLINK NORWOOD WAS RUN OUT OF TOWN!  NORWOOD NEVER SHARED THIS STORY WITH ANYONE, HOPING THE LEGEND OF HIS GRANDDAD DOES NOT HAUNT HIM.  TO THIS DAY, HE WILL NOT WEAR A COWBOY HAT SO NO ONE REALIZES HE FAVORS THE OLD SHERIFF.

Hoooraay for Mr. Sunshine!

Guess who we ran into during our morning walk?  It was Mr. Sunshine
We never see him on our morning walks and it was so nice.  We are looking forward to a nice spring like weekend. I can't wait for the ice and snow mix to melt.  Well, I think it's time for my breakfast.  In honor of Mr. Sunshine, we may enjoy 2 scoops......of raisin bran of course. I guess I'll try the raisin free mix-just a scoop of sunshine.

I thought I was already good?

Hello. I have a confession. I am now in school. Good Dog 101. I went to my second class this weekend. Now, I already thought I was a good boy. My mom tells me that all the time so why am I in class? My mom says it's because of Mr. Bizerko (remember my alter ego) and my problem with tackling dogs & humans to say hello. She just doesn't understand that I am sooo excited. I haven't told her but I do like it. I met many new friends. I'm working on the basic commands: sit, down, loose leash walking, no jumping, touch... I'll do anything for a treat. You just have to pay me. It's a give and take, right? My teacher Paul always uses me for demonstrations. I like him.. he smells like chicken. He gets that give and take. He talks about paying me for figuring out what he wants me to do.

This Sat my aunt Dee came and took pictures. It was like I was a celebrity. Enjoy the slide show.

Taking a different view on life?

My mom doesn't know how I can look sideways and run forwards WHILE wearing mittens.
She doesn't appreciate all my talents.

Sunshine Shadows

This past weekend I ventured to a new trail.. Marble Hill in Stowe MA.
Stowe has wonderful conservation land with tons of trails.

It had green signs posted all over for a life course.

I thought they were silly.
You were suppose to do things like swing from a rope.
Use at your own risk. How can I swing from a rope and it not be risky?

Forget the lifecourse, mother nature made her own for me.

It was so quiet. We heard alot of knocking up there..
It was a woodpecker ( I couldn't see him)
It stopped me in my tracks. I sat and listened to the symphony of musical beats.

As you can see, it was a lovely day!

The sun was so bright, we played with our shadows.
I thought my mom wanted my picture... ..
Why would you want a picture of my shadow?
I'm much cuter in full color.

Fire Pig

I love day camp. We always celebrate the holidays with a party.
Monday we celebrated the Chinese New Year- Year of the Ox.
Here's my party photo.

We played with a dragon and had our horoscopes read.
My horoscope says I am a FIRE PIG! Who knew?

Here's what my horoscope reads:
Active, outgoing and extroverted, Fire Pigs breathe new life into everything they do. These Pigs are vivid, motivated individuals who cannot be deterred from a goal once they have set it. They are emotional and passionate about their loved ones, their occupations and their objectives. They are bold and vivacious, unafraid to take risks despite the consequences. They make great bosses because they do work so hard and because they are so spirited. But don’t doublecross a Fire Pig. They have the ability to be quite abrasive when things don’t turn out as they planned.
Me a Fire Pig? I would say it's true.. once I have my eye on a rabbit, I am determined to catch it. I am quite passionate about it and very spirited.. hence the Mr. Bizerko alter ego. I love my mommie and sit on top of her every chance I get. I guess I am a Fire PIG

a heeler at heart

Look at me! It was my lucky day!
I found this soccer ball at the park!
You didn't know, I can dribble and score a GOOAALL like Beckham!

But quickly my dreams of being like Beckham dissipated and turned to my true calling....

I soon found myself herding the soccer ball.
It had the same colors of a sheep!
No biting or kicking, so not a bad deal.

Look at me, I'm pretty good at this herding thing!
And soon I had it out to pasture! My job is done!
