boston marathon doggies

This past monday was Patriot's Day. In Massachusetts, that means a couple things:
- State Holiday- No work or school for most!
- Boston Red Sox Game
- and the Boston Marathon!

Since mom moved here she loves to watch the marathon.  I wanted to go. I begged and begged. She said something about me tackling the runners.  Me- would I do that? I was left home alone again.  One thing mom did for me was take pictures of all the furry friends at the race.  I wish I could smell them- don't they make scratch and sniff photos yet?
Mom at Wellesley College- 12 mile marker point.
My favorite runner in the whole event- the Banana Man!
Fun Aunt Dee eating free popcorn.  She looks really hungry. She didn't bring any back for me. what's up with that-geesch!
Oh.. a westie cheering on the runners.  Mom has a thing for westies.  Her first dog Scruffy was a westie. I heard they can be trouble.
Hee hee they look alike- don't they?
Very sweet.. the two green and purple circles are lil kids with hats on. He was bending over to give a kiss.  The "awwwh" factor here.  Me- I would be jumping on them.
So... cute. The little husky puppy got more attention than the race.
A pampered pooch had a great view of the race.
Getting some love. These schnoodles conoodling in public with their dad.
And last but not least the infamous peek a boo pose from this terrier.
I sure wish I went- it looked like fun. So many friends.. well maybe next year.

  1. Norwood is a clever name! I love your blog. It is so fun to explore and meet owners that take really good care of their dog's. Thanks for letting me check out this great blog! Feel free to stop by and check out our boerboel!I am adding your blog to my blog list.

  2. What a bummer that you couldn't go too, Norwood! We didn't know that bananas could run a marathon! That popcorn sure looks yummy!

    Love ya lots,
    Maggie and Mitch

  3. Well Norwood, I think it's a good thing that you didn't go cuz it would have been REALLY hard to just stand & watch & not get to run too! Very nice of your mom to take all these nice pictures for you though...she's a keeper:)

  4. Hi Norwood,

Sorry you were left at home again! I can sympathize as mom leaves me here alone during the week at times. She keeps telling me that I would not find stats to be very interesting, but I certainly do believe that I could liven up the class for her!

    Sloppy hugs from Gundo

  5. Hi GB,
I didn't get to go either..home alone. again. like always. no popcorn left for me. mom ate it all. droopy lips--pout pout pout.

  6. Not fair at all that you did not get to go and then your mom takes photos of other dogs there to rub it in your face!!! Next year next year

  7. Wow Mom had a good time. What is up with her not taking you. You wouldn't tackle those runners would you? Maybe next time..

    Big Sloppy Kisses
    Gus, Louie and Callie

  8. Norwood. I'm puzzled. What's wrong with eating kiddos? And yep, I love the banana man too. Yumm Yumm. Barking of which.. did you get the banana photo I sent you of moi this week?

    Wiry wags, Eric xx

  9. I love this post ... all those manly legs runnin' by and your mom takes the time to photograph the dogs for you. Maybe next year, Norwood.

  10. Norwood-I'm sorry you couldn't go with your mommy to watch the Boston marathon. I don't think you would have tackled or chased the runners!!
