eYewatch friday- hobbs brook adventure

hi every bloggie!
it's friday! it's eYewatch friday! wahoo! I'm super excited to tell you about a new trail I hiked over Memorial Day weekend. It's right behind the Wayside Inn in Sudbury called Hobbs Brook Conservation Land.

I had my eYe on the sky.It started out as the most beautiful day! We were only 5 minutes into the walk until eYe spyed the pond.
Oh yes I casted myself in front of it for a mid day norwood shadow shot.

What's really neat is the name of the trail I was on was called the LIZARD trail. I thought of my good pal Brucethecat who is the ultimate lizard connoisseur for the entire trail. Well.. maybe not the entire time b/c I got distracted by a snake along it. I grabbed it to play a game of bitey face until I heard non-stop screaming. Geesch! Sorry no pictures of it.
So off I went-sing with me now... along the board walk.. up over the pond.. along the board walk..
We went along the boardwalk and headed to the brook where eYe kept my mince pies peeled for peepers.
It was all to myself. I swam around like a predator waiting to eYe my prey.
When all of a sudden out of nowhere these humans appeared! They seemed to be impressed with my swimming technique!
But they brought along with them a goon squad member- a labradork.
He wanted nothing to do with me. He just wanted the stick - pant pant pant- the stick throw the stick. He wasn't interested in playing with me so I moved on....
Choo Choo.. part of the trail required you to traverse across a railroad track that served as a bridge over the brook. First me, then mom followed.
It was a bit scary at first because you can see thru to the water while you walk over. But it lead me back to the boardwalk... we'll be having some fun.. under the boardwalk...... keep singing.
Look under the boardwalk... eYe watched closely and finally! mr peeper was getting a spa treatment in the mud.

The ultimate eYewatch- two small peepers peeping up at me!
Needless to say that meant only one thing!

Happy eYewatch Friday! PS- Wednesday's foto was from this adventure- if you can't tell I had a fabby time.

  1. Norwood,

You would make a most excellent alligator!

Too bad no snake photos, it would have been so cool to see you playing bitey face with one!

    Sam and Pippen

  2. Hi Norwood! You wouldn't catch any of us on that bridge! Scary!!!
    Great pictures of the peepers!

I love the peepers and swimming and stuff butt I am really glad there were NO SNAKE PICS.

  4. I guess all LabraDorks are the same!

Thanks fur sharing that pawesome adventure!

    Happy FrEYEday!

I hope woo see some things woo like today!

  5. Norwood, you and Stumpy would have the BEST adventures, together!

  6. Now that's a great walk! I am hoping it cools off a little here so I can get back to my regularly scheduled walking adventures!

  7. Woof! Woof! FUN adventure Norwood. Happy FrEYEday to you too. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  8. Thanks for thinking of me on the lizard trail Norwood. Finally, Sharon just posted my eyewatch...better late than never we always say! What a fabulous walk you guys had...kind of makes me wish I was a dog...but just kind of...cats get away with way more so I'll just watch you run & swim & roll in the mud & chase frogs. Hope you have a great weekend.
    your pal,
    Bruce the cat
p.s. haven't been too many lizards around here lately but my outside cat food attracts a lot of birds...maybe they have been eating the lizards before I've had a chance to play with them!

  9. Oh Norwood you always make us laugh. What a great adventure. We love the new foot ware you have there!! We bet a hosing came later!!!!
The Blueman decided to roll in cow poop while at the farm and Mom got out the hose on me!! arg I like oh-da-bovine!!
She even took my color off and scrubbed it... Sheesh Mom...
Oh Dad was practically crying, (he thought it was hilarious) when he saw Mom give me a nice pat right after my adventure..

    Big sloppy Kisses
    Gus, Louie and Callie

  10. Wow Norwood, what an awesome trail! It looks really fun to us (ok, more to our mom, we aren't big fans of outside, but you know what we mean!) We hope you have a great weekend!

  11. Hi, Norwood!
Sure you had a great time there!
    With froggies and all!
    Kisses and hugs

  12. Sure looks like a lot of cool stuff around there Norwood.

  13. Wow - what a fantastic trail! Can we come walk it with you?

  14. Norwood, we think you have a fabby time no matter where you are. Glad you 'eyed" those peepers too. Have a great weekend.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  15. What a most wonderful hike Norwood Master Chew Sis has some great trails!!!

    Smileys & Snuggles!
    Dory, Bilbo and Jacob

  16. The part with the train track bridge had me on the edge of my seat, just like in "Stand By Me"!

  17. Norwood, buddy, give it up. I happen to know from a very reliable source that you were total cracker dog at skool and are no longer the teacher's pet. I suspect should I ever manage to get my large and handsome self there that I will usurp your heretofore high status.

Tell Tula I am using bottom freshener spray. It is quite invigorating.

  18. Oh Norwood - that first photo is gorgeous! What a beautiful place to walk! Although I thought you were very brave to go on that Choo-Choo bridge!

And ooh! I've never seen a peeper before! Although they tell me that Australia has huge ones (and yes, they are poisonous - as usual!!)
