funballs on the desert trail

hi every bloggie!

I hope you all are having a great holiday weekend.
I'm trying to catch up with blogging well... momma is.
I've been doing a lot of trail running with her lately.
She gets more bang for her buck getting her runs in
and exercising me all at the same time.
AND it's more fun than running on a leash on sidewalks.

So the other day we went to the Desert Trail which also
Really cool trail system.
You might remember we snow shoed it this winter.
Here it is in the summer.

Oh yah. We brought FAD (aka fun aunt dee along too).
Tula is not much of a hot weather gal so she stayed home by her coolie station.

Hee hee.. got roaching?

tah dah.. live trail running with us. Come on!

Okay so here's something creepy & scary.
No not me, I was taking a swim break in this furry nice lily pad pond.

It was this guy....
a northern water snake was sitting sunbathing near the edge.
He looks full too.

Whew.. momma was very happy I didn't see him b/c I've
been known to put a garter snake in my mouth.
Eesch. This guy was much much bigger and probably meaner.
Here's a closer lookies.

Don't worry Norwood didn't mess w/ this guy (didn't see him whew!)
I bet he had a froggeh in his belly.

That didn't stop me from jumping in the nice watering hole.
This one is my favorite!!

See how nice it is..
and momma likes these fotos-
good for playing around w/ her foto app 100cameras

  11. What a great location for Mom and FAD to get their exercise and for you to have fun! That snake is pretty ugly. Thunder likes to pick them up too, he even enjoys flipping them up in the air.

    Have a great Fourth.

  17. Snacks are yucky! Well thats what mom says-she wont let us get anywhere close to a snake!!!

But we sure do love the trails too! Ceilidh hasnt been on the trails yet-I'll have to show her the ropes!

Your trails look a bit greener than ours!

  19. Hi Norwood, you look like a good swimmer. That snake looked scarey. Are there many venomous snakes where you walk. No worries, and love, Stella
