mission mitten hunt

hi every bloggie!

It's been snowing like crazy here!

but a boy like me can not get cabin fevah or I go nutty!

One problem is all this snow freezes up my toe toes

Good thing I have mittens!

Lookie! me and FAD (fun aunt dee) are the black mitten crew!

I really don't mind wearing them.

The big problem is when one goes missing.

I get in big big trouble.

And the other day I lost one!

So Tula came along on the search and rescue mission.

She thought a bag would be help in the recovery efforts- ridiculous!

Mission Mitten Hunt under way!

We searched all over!

Hi and lo!

All over the trail a wassailing we will go!

( I didn't want to use that word but momma made me)

Wait wait what's this?

Eureka! We found it!

Rut roh... Toolie doesn't look happy.

You know Akitas, she had a few words for me.

"Nordude woo have to be more responsible!

Don't lose another mitten!!!"

This was not funballs!

But all I heard was grrrr grr grrr!

huh?

I warned her I had it all on film...

with my handy pet eye's view cam on.

Hee hee she'll be on TMZ tomorrow!

Oh well another successful search & rescue mission done!

New Year's Day Fun

Brrr.. New Year's Day was frigid.  This poor boy's toes kept freezing up so I brought out the mittens. (aka-boots) An initial struggle was soon over followed by a nice prance. (trying to figure out how to walk in them)   Here he is, so fancy, with his fleece mittens.  I know.. I know.. it really isn't a fashion statement in this case it is function.  For those owners who need to use boots, I use the cheap ones that the iditarod dog use... give it a try - at $2.50/pair it is a good investment.  Go to www.dogbooties.com.  And, if he loses one, it is not a costly loss and they fit good too.

    

Now we are ready for the trails.  We headed to Ghiloni Park in Marlboro.  Oh yes! We had the park and the trails to ourselves.  Norwood took full advantage of it.  The ice cold gusts blowing against our face. The snow draped pine trees.  Fresh tracks in the trails.  We had a great time... expect I could not keep up.  I wish I had a furry face and four legs some days.. today was one of them.

        

It was a beautiful clear blue sky mitten wearing kind of day!
