can't beat'em join'em!

Hi Every Bloggie!

I have somethings to tell you about my latest walkies. Well first mom wants to take a minute to point out my loose leash walking. We know Dexter aka Pee Wee is working on it. He has been diligently training.  And guess, what? I have a Dexter spy who sees him walk every morning and reports he's always googly eyes at his mom while walking.  My report back is that training must be working! Now, my mom works hard to make that happen, it is not easy. Hence the hot dogs always on her person.
Enough of that boring stuff.  Every morning I take a walk at the local high school. I get to run free around the track. I'm the fast one in lane 3.
Then all of a sudden I saw dashing movement. I surveyed the area. Mom noticed my hunting looks and quickly locked me down.
A deer was inside the track field and didn't know how to get out! I offered to herd it to freedom but noooooo! ms. no fun mom said bad idea.  Who would guess the next day I had an interlude with this deer and chased it throughout the neighborhood. I have never felt so alive. Mom was upset with herself for her carelessness and now I'm on lock down for a good part of the walk.
Anyways, enough of that.  Then I ran into this guy.  I thought he was a rock and then we got close.  Pardon the poor photos.. mom only uses her iPhone which has limited picture quality. It was a HUGE snapper.  We didn't get too close but here's a zoomed in look. Watch out!

Ladddadddahh. Oh that reminds me I haven't had my background music in a while... I was walking in the neighborhood.. ladd adahhadee dod dah.
And look what I came across. Mr. Bunny sat as still as a statue.  Good move b/c my hunting instincts usually react to movement.  I'm visually oriented. Good move Mr. Bunny. I never noticed you.  Can u believe that?

So I came home for breakfast and a snack. I just learned I lOVE carrots! Well if you can't beat'em, join'em- right?

i'm taking a stance!

hi every bloggie!

Along my regular walk, part of the field has a patch of wild flowers and tall grass. It makes for a beautiful trek between the frog pond and the smaller lily pond. Come on... I show you around.
Wait. shh... I think I hear something.

Oh.. just a bee. bzzzzz! I look kinda blue against the flowers today- don't I?

Now off to the other pond.
See me.  One paw is raised. Guess what that means. Yep my hunting stance. Ears erect. Tail down. Still cautious movements.  Steely eye stare. Mouth closed.
Don't ask what I'm hunting. This pond is not about mr. frog so much.  It has snakes and snapping turtles. Mom's not too fond of me being at this pond.

Oh.. I was invited to join a new meme! I think that's what you call it.

best friends petcare dogfun fest!

hi every bloggie!
My day camp had a dog fun fest today!  Yahoo!  The rain held off! The party is on!
Meet my day camp friend Ozzie.  He's a nut.  Every time I come to camp, he's sprinting around the room making snorting sounds.  Ozzie is the definition of a party boy.
See what I mean. What a ham!
This guy is not a day camper but the Dirt Devil Dog- mascot for a local sports team.  I had to do a sniff check on him.  He said I was a bit fresh!
But we were fast friends.  Look! his claws palm my peanut head like a basketball. Oh well.. time for kisses.
There was a group of huskys from Boston's Urban Snow Dog crew.  This one won the trick contest.. singing along with the harmonic.  Rooo Roooo!
And the little dog at the bottom won the best dressed. She came in her swim suit b/c of the rain.
I took a minute to thank the staff for having the day of dog fun!
Then I headed over to the paw painting area.  My paw print looked like a flower!  Awwwhh!  I'm accepting the highest bid.
All this fun makes me hungry and thirsty. Perfect!  A water trough of apples! Yummo! Wait.. do they think were horses?  Oh who cares.. this is the best idea ever.
And there were other games. This game was hot dog limbo.  See the stick has different length strings hanging with hot dogs attached. The goal was to limbo under without eating them. I don't think the rules were explained well to these two.  Afterwards we all got to take one off.
Guess what!??? I won a contest too! MOST UNIQUE! No one has ever seen a dog like me before.  The AKC doesn't have a "goofball" registration.  It was a dog funtastic day!

old dog in the house

hello every bloggie!

This is mom with her pappy. Yesterday he aged another year!  Hmm I don't have enough toes to count but I think mom said he is 72!  That's over 10 in doggie years!  Can't teach him new tricks.

He lives in Milwaukee so I don't see him much. But look! when he visits he gets up super early to walk me.
And he likes to have fun with me and aunt dee too!

So I went out on a search to find him a present.  What would an old man like?
Oh course.. who doesn't like a frog friend? Yoohoo where  are you?  Oh! But if I give that to him, who will I play with?  Next idea please.
I thought about giving him my stick and green ball. But then I'd have nothing to play with in the field.  A stick hustler can't give up his best stick?
Think! Think! Think!  I even searched my stuffie collection.  Oh no. They're all dead.  Next idea.

Wait hold on! What's this?

Looks like a rock! Nope a turtle.  Hmm. He doesn't seem to be much fun. Why have a head if you keep hiding it?! Silly.

I got it! I'll send him some smoochies. That is the best gift ever!
Or maybe he needs some help or a special home!  ha ha just kidding. Happy Birthday grand pappy!
