a sea dawg burpday adventure con't

hi every bloggie!
wowee! two bloggie days in a row.
can u believe it?

well this post is a continuation from yesterday's burpday funballs update.
when you last saw me.. I was having fun in the sand dune marsh area.

well that wasn't all.
i had momma take me up to the street to the beach.

ahhh... refreshing salty breeze!

momma made me wash my toes off in this shower.
silly..since wet toe toes still pick up sand and I don't wear flip flops
oh well, the shower was a nice tribute to this ladee

but then I noticed that stoopid sign again.
no dogs on the beach.
argh!

all I could do is lookies at the peeps having beach funballs.
boring

so i went for a walkies down the street.
big fancie houses lined it.

even the birds have big fancie houses

rut roh! warning will robinson warning will robinson
i didn't know it but i was under attack.
see tula's video & post about my wildob burpday it..
she thought it was funny.

a momma osprey (sea hawk) didn't like me so close to her babies
umm.. i can't climb poles so what's the big deal!

lots of birds around.
i do like their tasty presents.. good eats

some birds had their eyes on the waves.
i don't see anything. do u?

this guy did a dive bomb!

but i think he came up empty
i gotta learn how to fly... how funballs

so next stop.. woods hole
boop booop!

the ferry that takes peeps to martha's vineyard coming in

it's a very pretty harbor

with lots of boat traffic
i even saw some real sea dawgs riding in the boats.
*( u can't really see from this pic but of course labradorks & goldens)
why can't that be me! why can't that be me!!

then all of a sudden... i was told to wait.
excuse me.. cattle dogs are not the patient type

rut roh.. the bridge broke.
oh letting boats thru.. toot toot!

i wanted to jump onto his boat but
momma wouldn't let me.
no fun

oh well... we went to the uptowne dog cape cod bakery afterwards.
i picked out some burpday cookies to share with tula.
don't worry they don't bite or pinch.
well... tula does if she doesn't get a cookie

yummers.. so that was it for my burpday adventure!
next year woo should all come!

oh i wanted to pass along a few announcements.
my pal pip told us all about a hat-a-thon on aug 24th
post a pic of woo in a hat and help out if u can..

and since momma is bad about keeping up on blogville things
we read sarge's bloggie, he posted all the upcoming events
check it out.. lots of funballs ahead!
okay that's it. tah tah!

a beach boy

hi every bloggie

This is part two from yesterday's post. I hope you didn't take off your flip flops. The smell of the ocean breeze! Ahh! The sea breeze blowing thru my fuzzies! Ahh... yes. I was born to do this! Look at me! I was being mr. lifeguard watching this lady swim back and forth in the swim area.

Yep move over david hassselhoff! I'm the HNIC (head norwood in charge) Ladies please stop swooning.. okay don't stop.

Here's me practicing my lifesaving- okay ball-saving techniques!

Yesterday the thundering herd watched my short video and heard mom say" he lost his off leash privileges". I think it might have something to do with this....

Umm bunnies are not suppose to hide in bushes on the beach. It ain't my fault. Okay so this was mom's view for awhile until she snatched me up. It was like a game of "where's waldo" but with me.

Do I look like I'm up to trouble? Pretty good -who me? expression right?

I had lots of fun trolling the sand dunes!

And there was tons of shellfish!

A fun crab playing hide n seek and there were snails all over the place! I think my pal Honey the Great Dane would've loved the little crabs.

Okay- here's a small snippet that summed it all up!

H & G- Hi and Goodbye! Oh don't forget to wash your feet off. Your mom will NOT want sand all over the house.

shadow shot sunday #114- in the sand dunes

hi every bloggie!
Okay so last weekend as part of my birthday festivities, I headed down to cape cod. Yep, got up nice and early to make fresh paw prints in the sand, catch me a crabby style breakfast and run wild & free in the sand dunes (which technically I'm not suppose to do but... I highly recommend it) Here I am at Chappy (Chapoquoit) Beach! I looked down and noticed shadow dude was here too - pawfect for this week's Shadow Shot Sunday in the Sand Dunes
Reflecting.....
And I think this one is a bit spooky but I like how it shows off my bell! ching ching ching!
Someone else had to get in the shadow action.
But now for the best part. Lookie here! We walked along the board walk! Shadow dude didn't give me much space. Alright ears up!
Now ears back- travel mode
Ears up! Huh? This could be a Vegas act.
Are you ready for the live version? Get your flip flops on... let's go!

And I think that's a wrap! Thanks for tagging along with me and my shadow! Check out other cool shadow shots at hey harriot's bloggie!

Before I head out.. Happy Birthday to my supersized pal El'bow! You might still have time to enter his birthday contest! Come on and join the fun! I'll post my card to him tomorrow!

sand in my toes

hello every bloggie!

I received many comments about my visit to the cape.. thank goodness I took more pictures.  I guess Clive the Autistic Assistant Dog's humans will be heading to Boston and the Cape this weekend.   And Phantom and Thunder's mom is from this area.. reliving some fond memories from the photos.  Well, here you go! My blog photographer took many more to share.

First off ! The most important thing to do is make paw stamps.  Look at mine!  I'm not allowed on the beach but across from it was sand dunes!  I LOVE IT! I stamped all over and wrote my name!  Yeah you know it! I was here!

Everywhere I looked ! Sand crab holes!  I pounced around, hopping in the air like a gazelle! Trying to catch one. Look at my focus- determination ! I know I can catch one.  Anyone out there ever catch a sand crab? Do tell.
I never hunted one before so not sure if my gazelle leap is the appropriate technique.  My blog photographer doesn't seem to think so....
In the words of Mango.. or is it Kool Aid Man-  anyways.. Ohhh Yeahhh!
I'm loving this ocean life! I wish I could go on the beach! Listen to the ocean  Click the mic to hear it! Wind in my long fur... ahem.. time for a haircut.  I'm I'm .. king .. I'm not gonna say that corny line.
I started singing " Catch a wave and you're sitting on top of the world!"
And then we drove along part of the race course which is beautiful.   In the distance and up close the Nobska lighthouse and beach!

I'm still looking to jump in.... someday.. after summer beach rules end,  I will.
A dog has got to have dreams!
