I just wanted to say something quickly about yesterday's post. Yep I had an encounter with a nesting swan. I didn't get this close to see it hissing at me. Thankfully I had my leash attached. I actually walked right by it at first and it appeared out of nowhere. Whew.. mom was glad my leash was on. It was HUGE and monopolized the trail. We had to take an off trail way around. I didn't want to mess with this one.
Now onto more important things. IT FINALLY HAPPENED! I was walking along my usual trail. Mr. Frog decided to veer away from the pond side and right on the trail path.
Sometimes we still khrave what we know isn't good fur us -
ReplyDeleteHugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Try adding a little Tabasco next time.
ReplyDeleteNorwood, that swan is a good picture for eyewatch Friday. I put my eyewatch up a little early as a tribute to my big Sis's birthday. How did the frog taste?? Did you try the legs? I hear that people eat them sometimes.
ReplyDeletelicks and sniffs, Sasha
We came over from the OP Pac blog. We think that our Monty tried to eat a dead frog once!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that sounds pretty exciting Norwood. I haven't caught one of those yet.
ReplyDeleteNoah x
How were the frogs legs, Norwood? We've heard they're the tasty part!
ReplyDeleteDauby would let you swim in our pond! She's a nice swan!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Not liking something has never stopped us from hunting it.
ReplyDeleteYuck! I bet that frog was wearing some weird skin cream that made him taste funny.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango

Froggy probably trying to shoot untasty stuff so you'd drop him. Some frogs are dangerous and lizards Look out my man
ReplyDeleteAt least lizards don't make me foam at the mouth! Hope you've survived that traumatic experience...at least the swan didn't attack you too!
ReplyDeleteyour pal,
Bruce
p.s. sharon will be back at the shop today...yipee I get to have fancy feast!
How exciting Norwood! I´ve never tried a frog!

Ewww! Ick!! We'll try to remember!!!
ReplyDeleteYou might want to change your "All About Me" to read something more specific than "I love frogs".
Are ya still frothing???
Ewww!!!!!!
Duly impressed,
Jake (and Fergi) xxoo
EWWWIE! I hope you remember next time that frogs are better left to the hoomans... they like frog legs as a delicacy, but I'll stick with chiken' thankyouverymuch!
ReplyDeleteWe're impressed Norwood - you caught it, even if it didn't taste very nice. The nslm's parents used to eat a lot of frogs legs, snails and other funny stuff like that when they lived in Belgium - but they say the secret is lots of lots of garlic!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time ...
take care
Clive
Hi Norwood - wow, what an evetful walk! Hey, it's almost a shame it was a frog you licked - we hear that if you licked a toad you'd feel all mellow and relaxed, he he he! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, congrats, we think:) And something tells us you aren't going to trade in frogs for something else to hunt.
ReplyDeleteWoos, the OP Pack
Nice hunting Norwood.Pretty nifty. But prolly better sauted and served with garlic butter and a slug of white burgundy rather than your carpaccio style.
ReplyDeleteWiry wags n kisses Eric xx
Wow, we're glad you were able to take some pictures to capture this important moment in history. Ahhhh, we're sure you will cherish the memories for many years to come...
ReplyDeleteHi, Norwood!
ReplyDeleteGlad you did not have a close encounter with that Swam... he looks mean!
I am so impressed! You got that frog??
Sorry you had to leave it!
My mom says frog legs taste like chicken but I am not so sure!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Great job Norwood that you caught him ..... ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you also played with the swan !!!!
hugs my friend
Kareltje =^.^=
Yes, Sharon is back! Now, I'm back online! Happy Friday buddy!
ReplyDeleteyour pal,
Bruce:)
Very impressive, Norwood! You can add frog tasting to your repertoire. But very glad you did not try going for that huge hissing swan.
ReplyDeletexo Sammie
Ewwwwwww... you tasted the froggie.... was it just like chicken?!? We saw a few when we were in Maine on holiday but our mommy person pulled us away immediately. We're sure you just wanted to play, Riiiiiiiight?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Norwood...

Hi Norwood...just wanted to let you know that sharon sent you an email to your gmail account. After you read it, let her know what you think.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Bruce:)
Eeew, bet it tasted yuckey, perhaps you are better just to look for them next time Norwood and not actually taste them..hehe
ReplyDeleteGlad the froggy was ok.
Holly & Zac...XX
Oh Norwood, I missed so much while I was away.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are ok after the froggy incident, and the frog was also not harmed. My heart skipped a beat while reading that, you see, some frogs are toxic to doggies. I almost lost Princess, my female GSD, when she bit a frog, and she had to be hospitalized for several days.
They are fun to look at, admire, and sometimes even chase, but be careful.
Lots of love and many many tummy rubs for all the ones I missed.
There's no accouting for tastes, that's what they say. =) I think I'd never put a real frog in my mouth, but I do love the taste of mud, don't you?! You're the best Norwood! =** Much love from Brazil!
ReplyDeleteThe book is on its way! And yes, I can read..how do you think I could blog if I couldn't read?
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a frog-filled day!
your pal,
Bruce:)
Good thing that crazy swan didn't get you!
ReplyDeleteI love to play with hippities, but they make me froth & foam & sometimes even throw up. I know it's wrong, but I am weak against their powers!
