We hope this email finds you well and enjoying the fall season. We at PAWS have had a most difficult and trying few months and all of us are concerned about our current financial health and the future of our organization. Please watch our video message to learn more details:
To engage in rescue work, one must maintain an optimistic attitude—we are hopeful that better times are around the corner. We believe in our work and have always been awed by the generosity of you. Please help us survive this recession; there are so many dogs who rely on us as their sole lifeline.
In order to meet our operational budget requirements through the end of the year, we need to raise $15,000. We know that we can accomplish this daunting task by asking a lot of people for small amounts of money and getting very creative with our fundraising. Please help us reach our goal. You can follow our progress by watching the fundraising thermometer that we will be updating daily on our petfinder page:pawsnewengland.petfinder.com.
Thank you, as always, for your support!

Well I being very grateful for their services and acting as a proper alumni, donated AND placed the video on my bloggie and twitter. I was so amazed at the power of the dog blog pack. I got the following email on Nov 8th.. a little over a week.
Hey Debi & Norwood!
Just wanted to say thank you for putting our appeal up on Norwood's blog! You are not going to believe it, but 296 people were referred to the video from your website!
We are doing great with fundraising... $12,395 as of this morning and I think Joanne, Traci, and I have exhaled for the first time in a long time. We could not have done it without your help.
Many, many thanks and hugs to our little angel!

ReplyDeleteMom just wanted me to tell you that if ever you find yourself kicked out of your kennel because of your alter ego, Mr. Bizerko, she would love to have you come live with me.
Everybody knows 2 Mr. Bizerko heads are better than one.

You are definitely an angel, Norwood! We hope your rescue gets oodles of moneys! We are having an Aire Care Fair on Sunday and so far, 60 dogs are signed up to come. Woohoo! All the $ goes to the Airedale Rescue Group.

Oh Norwood that is so wonderful. The power of the paws comes through again..
ReplyDeleteMarley is called a dogo and we aren't sure what she is crossed with. Dogo's can get up to 120 lbs. So you see she is going to be a big baby. Even me the Blueman only weighs about 45 lbs..
