Okay we really need your help. As you know, I'm training my momma to run the NYC Half Marathon on March 16th. She's on the Pencils of Promise charity team which helps build schools in areas of need. We have $800 more to go towards our $2000 fundraising goal.

Nordude runs for more than Dunkins!

Gosh! I have big big news!

This week I'm raffling off prizes to peeps and dog blog pals who help out.

You guys know I run and walkies all the time. Every day I log miles for Charity Miles to earn money for different charities. Last year I logged over 1000 miles!   So one of the Charity Miles organizations, Pencils of Promise  emailed me. They said we were one of their top walkers and offered a race entry to the NYC Half Marathon Pencil of Promise team. We were so honored, we accepted immediately! So being on the team, we did commit to raising $2000. The money raised goes to building schools in areas of need. Giving a gift of education! 

I'm helping out. I'm training with my momma. See! Even in the super cold temps, I make sure she gets her training run in with me

Better yet,  I'm also helping out with raising donations!

norwood on the run

hi every bloggie!

On the weekends, I go running. Yep. Not just my daredevil dashes at Tula. Not just zoomies in the field and on the trail. Not just leashed walkies thru the neighborhood but actual runs w/ mom.

You see, we have a deal though.

I must take a break at the half way point.

Honestly I do enforce it because we usually run 6 miles. That's far.

I guess it kinda looks like my leaf clean up services too. Huh?

Anywho, umm I was going thru old footage and thought I'd post my K9 trail race video. It's from way back in June. I don't think I shared it so why not now.... here's me crossing the finish line!

running the rails

Esch! I'm trying to get this post up right before mom heads to work. Talk about last minute. Ugh.

The other weekend I went to a new rails to trails- the Bruce Freeman RT in Chelmsford, MA. I loved it. I think this might be my new favorite rail to trail. There was a pond for refreshing, side trails to explore, plenty of port-a-potties along the route, a stop w/ ice cream, coffee and even a sports bar! It was a furry nice one and highly recommend it.

See I was able to take water breaks along the Assabet River and the little streams- pawfect for cooling off during a run.

And here's one of the stops- an antique shop..tahdah your halloween foto shot of the day! Creepy faced pumpkin though... so I didn't want to look directly in his eyes.

The trail was decorated with artwork too! The artwork were scenes from long ago in Chelmsford.

Choochoo failure and the country side. I bet I could pee sketch one if they'd like!??

Oops instead I went into pure interpretative art mode! Look at me go!

More dance interpretive art from me. I hope someone throws me a dollar!

Okay believe it or not we ran 6 miles that day and parked right at the pond. Furry furry pawfect place to end. Okay here's your handsome shot of the day. Please ladees no droolies on the monitor.

wacky workout

Tonight I'm having blogger issues. Geez blogger's so moody lately. I'm trying to comment and it keeps saying no service on Safari so I switched browers. Then on firefox I couldn't add photos so what to do what to do. Blogger failure can't stop me - no way!

Okay here goes..On the weekends, I usually go running for about 4- 7 miles/day but sometimes that's just not enough. See that's me.... fast like the wind or breaking wind- huh?

A little dude like me can store unused energy resulting in... well watch.....

Yep that's my wacky after run workout. Dugout sprints are funballs!! Please feel free to sign up for the next class.

*Sorry facebook/twitter friends about the re-post but I'm sure you don't mind seeing it again- besides you need the exercise. Oh did I mention blogger just sucks tonight. Yeah it does!

pre-snow adventures

This post is PS-pre-snow. You see in Massachusetts we have crazy schizoprhenic weather. One day it's almost 70 degrees then the next day or maybe even the same day it'll snow. Well, two weekends ago, it was 70. Unbelievable for December weather.

Any who, since mom was training for her race- I acting as her personal trainer- took her for a jaunt of my own. It was a beautiful day.. take a look at our views.

Where I live it's like your in the woods but not in the woods. Okay... enough breaks.. let's go.

We ran by the Juniper Hills Golf Course.. I'm sure these guys couldn't believe they were golfing in December. (and in shorts)

Then we ran by this place. It seemed to be a popular spot today.

People swarming in and out of the trees. I did them a great service and left a few norwood notes on a select few.

Then I went about my business picking out one for my own. Since I'm a fan of Charlie Brown.. I prefer these little guys.

What do you think? Close your eyes... an voila!

I think it'll be perfect. Now time to get back.

Ahhh! The finish line.. look! The park is ALL mine.

Post run stretches... okay maybe not stretching. I can't go a day without being a cracker dog.

wild ob-ing

Before the blast of winter.. I mean Finter- I hit the Assabet Rail Trail again for a run. I don't know what's up with my ear perks- Kinda girlie looking. I think I need a trim. I'll talk to my groomer.. but that's another story for a different post.

This time when we stopped at the trail head, I noticed something new. Look at all these wild ob(servations)! Poor anipals were stuck in this sign. I had to look closer.. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Seems they were flattened too (kinda like what happened to Eric the square, Asta, Mango, Lacie and Duff on their visit to Boston)

Poor red fox.. he can only shift his eyes.

oh yeah! I tried to put my snooter on this one but he didn't budge.

I've chased one of these before.. nothing nadda.. no movement.

And the fancy fall leaves.. I couldn't crunch with my toes.

Brucethecat... lizard lover- this one's for you. Mom's too short to get a head shot. I licked him.. nothing.

Another fox. Well I've actually seen a live one do this too me on a walkies.

Whoa. I thought this was me for a minute. I am a bit of a scavenger too. Love the bandit look.

And I heard who who! What in the world does he keep asking the same question for? Thankfully we left before I was flattened.

Let's just say.. it was fun visiting them on my run.

See I do look like that raccoon.
