raindrop couture

hi every bloggie!
Despite yesterday's post, my head has resumed it's normal peanut head size. I unfortunately frightened a few of my favorite bloggie pals like NSLM Murray and Clive. And Mango RH reminded me that being a pin head is not in my best interest.

Well Hurricane IDA blew up north. We had rain rain and more rain. Someone I know gets the rainy day blues- Tula. That's because rain =bathtimes for her. Yep! Nature is her shower. But I confess, I missed out on my bath because the rain made me squeaky clean too.

Any who, the rain doesn't stop me from taking my walkies. Come on..
I like to think I have great fashion sense. I never leave home with out my bandana or my fancy eye mask. Hey wait. I'm not the only fancy one around here today. I looked around, the trees were fancied up and dressed in raindrops.
See? Just draped in water beads.
Even the pine needles got into it.
And the rain drops kinda sparkled like holiday lights!
Twinkle twinkle.. until I run by.
I don't know if squirrels can hold their breath.. but these nuts were submerged.
Check out the rain drop hem on this branch.
Okay okay.. now time for fun. Whoohoo! I played hot dog catch! As you can see, someone doesn't know how to throw and take a photo at the same time.
After 15 minutes of trying to "capture me" catching it.. this is the end result. Ridiculous.

And finally, I want to thank my golden delicious friend Sammie for this sweet award. I'm wicked honored. I would like to pass this award onto Stumpie, Thor and Lorenza who give me a sweet tooth every time I read their blogs.

  7. We insists on walking in the rain, too, though some human always likes to complain he is getting wet. Shake it off, man.

  8. Yuh, my mom can't throw and photograph well either. Just too slow, I suppose. I stayed inside when it rained and only went out long enough to get a little wet and justify and soothing towel rub.

Idiot Pee-Wee was of course all out splashing around.

    Slobbers,
    Mango

  10. Looks like nature put on her jewels for you Norwood. Tell your Mom that even though she can't take a picture and throw at the same time (don't know of anyone who can), she sure captured some beautiful scenes! Lovely!

    Bruce:)

  11. Oh Thank the Great Dawg!! You are back to normal.
Hey Norwood I thought I saw you on the Today show!! It turned out that it was Merry Dith VeeAira's dawg instead. I surely did stop in my tracks though. I was convinced that you had become a bit TV star.
You should tell your mom that she takes some of the very best pics ever!!!
You were very brave to go out in the rain. Not me!!

  12. WOW you even get to play the hot dog game in the rain!! Your pictures are sooo prettyy..Don't take this personally but I am not going to let Arch see your shrunken head. He is still crying over the football game and who knows WHAT would happen if he saw that..Love A+A

  13. Hey, its okay Norwood, he wasn't too frightened!

He's sitting here with us now looking at your photos and laughing away at all the great raindrops! He wanted to keep watching them to see the drops fall off - we had to explain no amount of watching the photos was going to result in that! But we've printed a few off for him to enjoy watching anyway!!

    take care
    Clive

  21. Oh, we love the flora's fancy raindrop dress. Isn't it gorgeous?! It hardly rains here so we don't often get to see it like that. We 'spose Aussie flora just doesn't have the same fashion sense...
you are right, the camera action is not great on the hot dog stuff but we get the idea.
Yumaliscious looking award you got there. You're on top of our cake, too!
